outlined by the HSE &

compliant with the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 (as amended)

How long is the Course?-6 hour course over 1-3 days

How Much Does it Cost?- £50 (ex vat)-larger organisations- please contact us for group rates

Where is it held?- At our training Centre in Consett or on your premises for groups of 8+

Is it for me?-  If you are an Appointed Person in your workplace it is advised by the HSE that

you

attend this course. It will give you the knowledge and skills to cope with an emergency until a

qualified first aider or the paramedics arrive.

What wilI I learn?- you will gain an overview of all aspects of the course outlined below

- along with plenty of practice of CPR.

Is there a test?- Yes! - you will be assessed on your practical skills and also complete a short

multiple choice test-  but don't worry you'll have plenty of support and opportunity to practice

and prepare!

Will I get a Certificate?- Yes, successful completion results in a FANE certificate

 or a Qualsafe Awards (RQF) certificate which are both valid

for 3 years

The Emergency First Aid Course can be delivered as 1x6hrs or 2x3hrs on your premises(groups of 8+) 

All FANE trainers are suitably qualified meet requirements set out by the HSE to deliver both the Emergency First Aid course and

the Full 18 hr First Aid at Work. 


All trainers are NHS/Emergency Services personnel with considerable first aid experience 


The Emergency First Aid course can be tailored to meet your needs, For example, First Aid for Sport, First Aid for Outdoor

Activities, First Aid for Construction- in the Emergency First Aid course we can also incorporate additional topics that are relevant

to your sector.
